DESCRIPTION:Green Shoebox Band will be celebrating with the City of Overland Park for this dedication ceremony.\n\n\n\n\nThompson Park re-opened following extensive renovations in the summer of 2020. Located on the main drag of Downtown Overland Park\, the park now features two open-air shelters\, new restrooms\, a performance stage\, seating areas\, outdoor grilling area and picnic tables\, outdoor working space with wi-fi\, a play ground area\, including a crawl tunnel\, climbing structure\, spinner\, swings\, and water play. Thompson Park is named after Downtown Overland Park business owners and philanthropists\, Frank and Evangeline Thompson.
